SUMMER SESSION: Questions to Awaken Your Heart, Mind, and Soul.

Here is a question that will help you reflect, clarify, and celebrate your story.

Sometimes it simply takes the spark of a questions to ignite an inner flame, illuminating where you have been, where you are in this moment, and where you heart is longing to go.

Ask yourself, ask your friends, your partner, your children, or ask a stranger this week’s question, and watch the miracles unfold before you!

This week’s question is:

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Advice comes into your life in all sorts of ways.  It can be gifted to you one on one, by someone you know deeply.  It can also be offered to you in a large group of people, by someone you don’t know personally. Some good advice is profound in it’s meaning other good advice simply improve your life in some way.  When you have a outlook of curiosity, anything and everything can be utilized as a form of advice to make your life better.Advice

Here is the funny thing about advice, as often as it may be offered to you, it only becomes yours if you adopt it and make it your own. Now not all advice is good advice. Discernment is key.  If it doesn’t sit well with you, you don’t have to take it in. It’s important to remember that people offer you advice according to their capacity of heart.  They may mean well, but it could still be drenched in their own limiting beliefs.

When advice is good you can feel it resonating through your being.  It’s like a tuning fork that enhances your soul’s alignment. Good advice is like a grand yes that fortifies your path forward.  It’s advice like this, can be turned to over and over again in your life, and confronts your limiting beliefs head on.  The best advice halts fear and doubt and clears a path back to love and truth.

Always keep in mind that curiosity is fear and limiting beliefs nemesis.  Remember, when you active your curiosity limiting beliefs have a harder time fooling you. Questions like this fuel curiosity and illuminate your truth!

A Few Things To Deepen Your Experience With This Week’s Question

  1. Don’t Stop At One Answer:
Take the larger macro scape question; “What is the best advice you have ever received?” and make it’s focus more micro in scope; “What advice can you pull out to make your day better?”  Shifting the question like this helps you see that your truth is not just a one off experience.
  2. My Favorite Thing About Advice:
My favorite thing about advice is that it is like a window into new world of possibility. When it’s good and you open it up to your heart, it can flood what ever experience you are having in your life with light and a fresh perspective.
  3. Use The Question to Stay Plugged Into Your Truth:
Keep this week’s question stoking the fire of inner curiosity and let it help you stay plugged into your truth.  Two of the “I AM Essential Truths” that work really well with this week’s question are: I AM CONSCIOUS and I AM WORTHY. My Answer To This Week’s Question Goes Like This…

I have gotten a lot of advice over the years some good, and some not so good.  When I sat down to write this post it was hard to pick which ones to share, because I wish I could share it all with you.  I narrowed it down by choosing two pieces of advice that I have constantly pulling out, to silence doubt and calm the fear that swirls in my mind.  In 2017 I attended Oprah’s Super Soul Sessions, and while I walked away with an arsenal of enlightening information and aha moments, here I am a year later daily reaching for these two nuggets of advice.

Alicia Hartzell Oprah Super SoulThe first one is from Oprah herself.  It was part of her intention she held of the event.  “You are not here to shrink down to less, but bloom into more of who you really are.” Stop shrinking girl and bloom.  Fear creates a tendency to shrink and hide, to not believe in what is possible or designed by your very soul to be created with your life.  You are not here to shrink and hide, you are here to bloom.  I still get goose bumps when I hearken back to this sentiment. As if every cell of my being is saying yes and shifting to align back up with this very truth.

My dreams are not small, and so I can’t be small to fulfill them. When the doubt creeps in I ask myself are you blooming or shrinking?  It is as simple as that.  And get this, blooming is continual.  That means that the smaller incremental growth, is still consider blooming!

The second piece of advice came from Angela Davis.  “You are graced for your race. You were born with purpose, and if you have been gifted a dream, then it was meant for you and your purpose.” Without a shadow of doubt I believe this to be true.  So true in fact, I even teach the “behind the curtain of your heart” way that your dreams propel you forward on the path that your soul set into motion with your humanity.  But there was something that struck me like lightning when she said it.  This dream is yours and it has purpose.Angela Davis Alicia Hartzell Super Soul

Often on this purpose driven path, I don’t know the next step forward until it presents itself to me.  And in the moments before the ground rises to meet my step, doubt and fear can creep in and make me wonder if I can really bloom into my purpose.  It is in this moment I reach for her words, “You were graced for your race, and your purpose filled dream is your race.” That thought opens the door for the truth to pour in. My soul set this life into motion, it activated my purpose and put into place every dream that I am destined to bring into reality.

She was sweet enough to respond to my post on Instagram and she said,”You have been assigned to inspire.” Which I couldn’t know to be more true.  Like I said before, all good advice halts fear and doubt and clears a path back to love and truth.

This week my micro response is the same as my macro response. What advice can I pull out to make my day better? Both of the ones I offered you will suite me just fine.  I actually have them written out and easily accessible just in case I need them.

Remember there are no wrong answers!  Try not to let the limiting voices in your head judge your responses for you.  Just stay open and curious as you reach for more of what makes you feel alive!

Tell me your answer to this week’s question. I can’t wait to hear what comes up for you! Remember I am always here to teach, support, and inspire you with heart-centered solutions for your everyday problems.
xoxo- Alicia
