Dear Alicia –
I’m really frustrated. My ex and I broke up a little over a year ago, and I have been dealing with it, trying to heal and learn. Here is the thing, now I am watching him get everything that I want. He is engaged, traveling the world and living the life of my dreams with someone else. I am doing all the work but it feels like I am being punished, somehow forced to sit on the sidelines of my own dreams.
I can’t seem to stop the feelings of jealousy, frustration and separation.
How am I suppose to deal with my ex getting everything that I want?
My Answer For You:
It can be hard to watch other people get the very thing you wanted. When that person is an ex and the thing you wanted is your ideal dream of love, it can feel like you are sitting on the outside something that was meant for you.
