What Do You Know For Sure
SUMMER SESSION: Questions to Awaken Your Heart, Mind, and Soul.
Here is a question that will help you reflect, clarify, and celebrate your story.
Sometimes it simply takes the spark of a questions to ignite an inner flame, illuminating where you have been, where you are in this moment, and where you heart is longing to go.
Ask yourself, ask your friends, your partner, your children, or ask a stranger this week’s question, and watch the miracles unfold before you!
This week’s question is:
What Do You Know For Sure?
I always find people’s responses to this question so fascinating. The things we “know for sure” are very telling to the belief systems that we have in play in our lives. There are never wrong answers when reflecting and getting curious like this. As you think of the many things you know for sure, remember every thought is sourced in either love or in fear. In honoring the space of curiosity, look to see if what you know for sure is plugged into fear or into love.
Fear might have crept in if you come up with answers like this; “It’s better to settle for what you have then to dream and get disappointed.” “My dreams are out of reach for my ability.” “The path I have chosen is hard.” Fear can sneak in and fog up your belief system with limitation. If what you know for sure is plugged into fear, your ability to create anything outside of that fear is almost impossible. Revisit what you believe. Just look at it from a distance without judgment. What other thoughts does it serve? What memories is it linked to? Can you see where someone else offered you the fear and where you adopted it?
Here is the thing about this question; it is not only fascinating it can be a super tool to use in moments of unease. If what you know for sure is plugged into the energy of source love, then it has the power to pull you out of unease and align you back up with truth. Think about if you what you knew for sure was like; “It will always work out in my favor for my highest good.” “Life is happening for me.” “I don’t have to have it all figured out right now.” “When I know better I can do better.” In the moments when doubt or fear creep in, you could stop those thoughts right in their tracks and counter them with love fortified things you know for sure!
What if what you know for sure, is not as universal in meaning. What if it’s more playful like; “I always feel good when my feet are in the sand and the ocean is kissing my legs.” “Laughing changes everything for me.” “Being with my tribe fills my heart.” “Nature soothes my soul.” If things like these are your “what I know for sure” thoughts, then what if you put yourself in the way of them more often? Imagine how tickled and full your heart would feel.
A Few Things To Deepen Your Experience With This Week’s Question
- Don’t Stop At One Answer:
Take the larger macro scape question; “What do I know for sure?” and make its focus more micro in scope; “What do I know for sure about today or this week?” Shifting the question like this helps you see that your truth is not just a one off experience. - My Favorite Thing About Looking At What I Know For Sure:
My favorite things about these “what I know for sure” thoughts are how grounding they can be to my heart. They bring me right back home to my truth and have the power to silence the noise that tries to creep in. - Use The Question to Stay Plugged Into Your Truth:
Keep this week’s question stoking the fire of inner curiosity and let it help you stay plugged into your truth. A couple of the “I AM Essential Truths” that work really well with this week’s question are: I AM LOVE, and I AM UNIQUE.
My Answer To This Week’s Question Goes Like This…
I have gathered a lot of things that I know for sure. One that I reach for all the time is, that life always happens for me, never to me. I believe this down to every cell of my being. Even in moment where it feels untrue, when things are not going the way that I want them to, I lean into this and it helps me readjust my scope so that I can see what is hiding behind the fear. It helps to see that I am fully supported by that divine universal energy that holds all us in this space together.
I also know that I am surrounded by love in endless dimensions. All the singes are there ready to be noticed if I just adjust my alignment and focus. I am swimming in it. My guides, angels, ancestors, the whole of the divine, they are waiting to show me, whisper to me, and remind me that I am fully supported on my journey. I see these divine winks of love in many ways, but my favorite is the hearts that always seem to follow me wherever I am.
There is power and purpose in pain. That is why I teach what I do. Pain is not designed to create a cycle of suffering; it is an indicator to show you where to do your heart’s work. It offers you an exact illustration and put language to the limiting beliefs you picked up. The pain gifts you all of this, if you use it to lead you back home to your essential truth. You are not designed to sit in the suffering of the pain; you are designed to use it. (Side Note: If you need to know how to do that, grab the Starter Kit)
My micro response for this week’s question is that every evening with week I am going to reflect on what I know about each day. Like today, I know for sure that I showed up for my health, for my purpose, and for my family. It’s a nice way to end the day and bring in the energy of celebration.
I can’t wait to hear about what you know for sure. Remember, there are no wrong answers and no judgment, just curiosity and enthusiasm that you showed up and dug in.
Please share your “what I know for sure” thoughts with me. I want to hear about the big ones and the smaller daily ones too. Write them in the comments on the blog and social media, or reply to the weekly email is you want to keep them more private.
Remember I am always here to teach, support, and inspire you with heart-centered solutions for your everyday problems.
