When Do You Feel Most Alive
SUMMER SESSION: Questions to Awaken Your Heart, Mind, and Soul.
Here is a question that will help you reflect, clarify, and celebrate your story.
Sometimes it simply takes the spark of a questions to ignite an inner flame, illuminating where you have been, where you are in this moment, and where you heart is longing to go.
Ask yourself, ask your friends, your partner, your children, or ask a stranger this week’s question, and watch the miracles unfold before you!
This week’s question is:
When Do You Feel The Most Alive?
I love this question so much because it reminds you where to put your attention. We often get bombarded by to-do lists and responsibilities in our everyday existences that we overlook truly feeling alive. There are so many different ways to approach this question, but all of them lead back to a kind of abundant energy. Being alive and allowing yourself to feel it, is a fertile place rich in openness and possibility.
When we are sleepwalking through our lives, or living through the leans of fear, our limiting beliefs make us numb to this powerful connection we have to source energy. The voices of fear downplay your power and lie to you about what is possible for you in any given moment.
DON’T FALL FOR IT!
YOU ARE ALIVE IN THIS MOMENT! Even if you don’t feel it, even if you are tired, spread thin, overwhelmed, sad, depressed or at your wits end, you are alive. In your “Aliveness” you have a story that is wonderfully unique, powerful and all your own. Your life is a gift and no matter what is going wrong, because you are alive there is more right than you may think or notice.
My hope for you today is that you connect to your “Aliveness” in whatever way feels good. If life feels stressful or even dull try counting out all the things that are right in your life. It will bring some attention the life force within your story and help you begin to shift your perspective.
Remember curiosity is fear and limiting beliefs nemesis. When you active your curiosity limiting beliefs have a harder time fooling you. Questions like this fuel curiosity and illuminate your truth!
A Few Things To Deepen Your Experience With This Week’s Question
- Don’t Stop At One Answer:
Take the larger macro scape question; “When do you feel the most alive?” and make it’s focus more micro in scope; “How can I feel more alive today?” Shifting the question like this helps you see that your truth is not just a one off experience. - My Favorite Thing About Being Alive:
I would have to say it’s the endless opportunities and miracles that wait for you around every corner. I lived a good part of my life surviving. When all your energy is focused on surviving, it’s really hard to feel and focus on the life force within you that says yes, I am alive. I couldn’t see the opportunities and miracles through my own fog, but looking back I can see they were there waiting for me when I was ready. - Use The Question to Stay Plugged Into Your Truth:
Keep this week’s question stoking the fire of inner curiosity and let it help you stay plugged into your truth. A few of the “I AM Essential Truths” that work really well with this week’s question are: I AM VIBRANT, I AM HAPPY, I AM PLAYFUL and I AM POWERFUL. My Answer To This Week’s Question Goes Like This…
I feel the most alive when I am connected to my higher-self, the divine, and the source energy that is animating my humanity and divinity. I know it might sound a little whoo whoo, but that is truly when I feel the most alive. It’s when I see the divine winks of love, aka the hearts that seem to find me everywhere. When I am tapped into that life force, it’s reflected back to me in so many different ways. I feel alive in nature, when I am with people that I love and adore, when I am with my fur baby, when I am writing, teaching, or witnessing other people’s stories. Those moments profoundly illustrate just how alive I truly am, and offer me a way to not only feel it, but also celebrate it.
This week I am going to use my micro response as a reminder for my macro response. How can I feel more alive today? I can take as many moments a possible and reach for that connection to the life force around me. I can ask for the miracles that help me feel that connection. I can al so keep my eye out for the divine reminders that show me how truly connected and alive I am.
Remember there are no wrong answers! Try not to let the limiting voices in your head judge your responses for you. Just stay open and curious as you reach for more of what makes you feel alive!
Tell me your answer to this week’s question. I can’t wait to hear what comes up for you! Remember I am always here to teach, support, and inspire you with heart-centered solutions for your everyday problems.
