Happiest of Days to You Dear Friend,
I have something important I want you to think about today. A question I would like you to sit with and answer from the deepest place within your being. “What good does it server me to shrink down and be small or deny the things that tickle my soul and bring me joy?”
When you deny your joy, turn a blind eye to your inner passions, or squelch your fervor for life, you are choosing to serve fear and limitation.
From a young age you were asked and trained to:
- Tone yourself down.
- Live into someone else’s idea of who you are.
- Squeeze into the many box of other people’s design.
- Stop Feeling, Moving, Being, Doing
By the time you are an adult you have become really good at taking direction from the limiting voices in your head and the fear fostered by those voices. Sometimes you don’t even fight them anymore. You just believe that you can’t have, be, or create.
What if you extracted the fear and limitation, and replaced it with a passionate and joyful approach in these areas of your life:
- Being fully who you are
- Being a wife, husband, partner
- Being a person in a work environment
- Being a parent
- Being a friend
How do you think things would shift or change? Denying parts of yourself and living through fear and limitation do don’t serve your higher good, or the higher good of humanity.
You are a passionate creature who is as divine, as you are human. Give yourself persimmon to come back home to that truth, and live from that place of freedom. Gift yourself permission to be passionate in your life. Allow that fervor and enthusiasm to bubble up within your heart and spill out onto every moment of your day.
Let’s take a few moments to just sit in that space of passion. Plug back into your light and say, I AM PASSIONATE. It’s ok if it feels awkward at first. Just keep giving yourself permission and space to let that passion and joy bloom.
BONUS Ways to Own Your Truth:
Find an image of yourself where you feel PASSIONATE, add some text to the image, and put that physical representation of your truth where you can see it. This is a photo of me on a tiny island in Florida. Hearts always have a way of finding me and helping to stoke the fire I have around my purpose. Finding this giant heart shell while exploring in the ocean, me fully embracing the passion within!
Once you create your image post it on social media with a note about your truth. It’s valuable to claim your truth externally as much as you do internally. Use the #awakeningtoyourstory
